Welcome to The Blue Bungalow, the perfect place for a relaxing Gulf Coast getaway! This bright, comfortable 2-bedroom, 1-bath home features a full kitchen, in-unit stackable washer/dryer, free WiFi, and a Roku TV in the living area. Unwind on the small back patio with seating for three, then head out to Navarre’s sugar-white beaches, the longest fishing pier in Florida, and easy day trips to Pensacola and Destin. Great for families and couples alike.
The Blue Bungalow is one unit of a four-plex on Tavira Street; the owner lives on-site in one of the units. You’ll enter through the front, and a back door leads to the private backyard area. The WiFi router is located next to the TV in the living area. Note: during a power outage the breaker may flip, simply flip it back on (panel is in the kitchen, to the left of the refrigerator).
A car is recommended for your stay. Public transportation options are limited in the area, so renting a car is recommended for the most flexibility. The bungalow is roughly a 10-minute drive to Navarre Beach and the fishing pier. Pensacola is about 25 miles (around 40 minutes) west via US-98 E, and Destin is a comparable drive to the east. Pensacola International Airport is the closest major airport, with rental cars available for the drive to Navarre. Free on-street parking is available on Tavira Street.

The Blue Bungalow sits in Navarre, a laid-back stretch of Florida’s Emerald Coast. Navarre Beach is known for its white-sand beaches, tranquil coastline, and emerald-green water, and is a great spot for outdoor recreation, family-friendly attractions, and seaside dining.
Beaches & Outdoors
You can snorkel and dive the artificial reefs, see the parks, hike, bike, and fish either from a charter boat or the 1,500-foot Navarre Beach Fishing Pier that towers 30 feet above the water. The pier reaches 1,545 feet out into the Gulf, and the beach offers smooth, clean, snow-white sands along a generous shoreline. For outdoor enthusiasts, the nearby Gulf Islands National Seashore offers stunning natural beauty and opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing. Families also love the peaceful waterfront Navarre Beach Marine Park, which offers scenic views of Santa Rosa Sound, a boardwalk perfect for leisurely strolls and birdwatching, picnic areas, a kayak launch, and shallow waters ideal for wading, less crowded than the Gulf side and a great spot for sunsets.
Family Attractions
On the Santa Rosa Sound near the bridge, Navarre Family Watersports keeps families active, kids can climb the inflatable water park or tackle the multi-level ropes course, while parents rent pontoons, paddleboards, or jet skis. At the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center, visitors can view interactive exhibits, learn about local wildlife and ecosystems, and see Sweet Pea, the center’s resident sea turtle. Other family-friendly options include the Gulf Breeze Zoo a short drive west and the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge.
Eat & Treat
Enjoy local seafood and incredible water views at Juana’s Pagodas & Sailors’ Grill, Navarre’s oldest family-owned restaurant, and Windjammers on the Pier. Dewey Destin’s Navarre brings fresh seafood and a family atmosphere in a waterfront setting on the Navarre Sound, right next to the beach bridge. For a sweet treat, Tommy’s SnoBalls, a dessert spot delighting visitors since 1988 near the entrance of the Navarre Beach bridge, offers over 75 flavors, a perfect treat on a hot Florida day.
